My Skincare Essentials

I know what you're thinking, Millie, why so much oil? Popular belief is that Oil=Break outs. To answer your question, my skin is very dry. Despite living in Florida with constant humidity, we Florida girls are mostly indoors with A/C blasting all day long. I love going to the islands where my skin can be itself and glows with luminosity because no one really has air conditioning unless it's a grocery store and I also tend to barely wear makeup in the islands because it's going to end up sweating off anyways. My dry skin will penetrate anything I put on it thus I am very cautious with what chemicals I put on it. So I stick to cruelty free/vegan and natural products. These are my holy grail, I've used them for several years and will probably never stop buying them.
Egyptian Magic: I can't say enough good things about this product, it will forever be in my home, it is one of those miracle creams that you can use on everything. It's made with all natural ingredients such as olive oil, Beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and bee propolis. Despite using bee products it is 100% cruelty free which is very important to me. It's an amazing moisturizer, it's great for healing cuts, healing curling iron burns (ouch), Taming frizz and flyaways, Split ends, hair conditioner, lip balm, after shave, hand and cuticles cream, eye cream, makeup remover, massage balm, to prevent stretch marks, hydrating face mask, and makeup primer. I literally use it for everything! You may purchase this miracle cream here.
Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil: Is an organic vegan oil that moisturizes your skin without leaving any oily residue, it cleanses clogged pores, helps prevents flakiness when massaged on scalp. I love using this as a daily facial/decolletage moisturizer because it's more light and airy and great for sensitive skin. I also use it to take off my eye and lip makeup. You can find this Jojoba oil here.
Trader Joe's Organic Virgin Coconut Oil: This is one of those amazing products that you can eat and put on your face. It's just that wonderful. The possibilities are endless, I try to limit cooking with too many oils because we all know that too much of a good thing.. Well... You get the picture. I use it for a lot of my Thai dishes, stir fries, Indian, Caribbean dishes. I also put it on top of my açai bowls kind of like a cherry dip cause it hardens with the cold and gives it an extra aromatic sweetness, and I use it to make a lot of different raw vegan desserts. I use it to deep condition hair, add shine, minimize dandruff, clean face, remove makeup, moisturize lips, freshen my breath- oil pulling, shaving cream, body moisturizer, deodorant, after sun, treating sunburns, it also has amazing antibacterial and anti fungal properties that can help with foot fungus. I like to use it as a foot moisturizer- I just slather some on my feet and put socks on and in the morning I have beautiful soft feet. Last but not least if you have a furry friend like I do, coconut oil can help in your pet's digestion and to get rid of fleas and ticks. You can purchase this miracle do it all here.
Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream: Another multipurpose cream, there is an on going pattern here. I typically like multipurpose items, because I don't have to spend as much for different beauty products. I don't need different products for a hand cream, foot cream, face cream, eye cream, body lotion, burn cream, cuticle cream and so on. This infinity cream is perfect for my dry skin, to treat rosacea or sunburns, to soften rough patches of skin, I like it to help keep my eyebrows in place, prevent razor burn, lip conditioner, hydrate and plump dry, swollen undereyes, soften cuticles, and you can also mix it with powders like eyeshadow to transform it into a cream. I have also used it as a carrier for my essential oils. I typically use wild orange and the infinity cream together for a summery citrus scent. You can find it here.
Love, Millie
